Fujitsu has announced the launch of GLOVIA One, a new integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform aimed at mid-sized Japanese companies, as the tech giant seeks to capitalise on growing demand for digital transformation across the country’s business sector.
The platform, set to be rolled out from April 22, consolidates Fujitsu’s existing ERP solutions — spanning accounting, human resources, payroll, sales and production — into a single cloud-based system designed to streamline operations and improve data visibility.
GLOVIA One is primarily targeted at companies with annual revenues between ¥3 billion and ¥100 billion, a segment often described as Japan’s digital “missing middle,” where firms face mounting pressure to modernise amid labour shortages and productivity challenges.
A key feature of the platform is the integration of AI-driven tools capable of aggregating and visualising business data, supporting real-time decision-making. Fujitsu also plans to introduce a “Chat BI” function, enabling users to interact with data through conversational interfaces, reflecting a broader industry shift towards AI-assisted management systems.
The launch underscores Fujitsu’s broader strategy to position itself as a partner in corporate transformation under its Uvance business model, which focuses on addressing structural challenges such as workforce shortages and digital fragmentation. As Japan pushes to boost productivity and competitiveness, platforms like GLOVIA One are expected to play a central role in enabling smaller firms to adapt to a rapidly evolving economic environment.
